Full parking guide
The building parking lot is tiny and mostly reserved & handicap spaces. There is limited street parking near, but ample street parking in the residential neighborhood about 2 blocks in any direction. There is a building-managed lot that was reasonably priced—you could pay cash or card to get in. The lot wasn’t super level and was poorly lit that night. There were no workers after the event to help direct traffic, and it took us a while to find our way out. I would recommend street parking instead of paying for their lot.
The concert venue is inside an old high school that has been remodeled for offices, a bar, and the concert venue. It’s a cool place, like a less-oddly-decorated McMenamins. It was hard to find the right place to enter for Revolution Hall. Signage wasn’t great, but if you walk around the place you’ll find your way in. After getting inside, you have to walk up many stairs to get to the concert venue. I did not see if there was an elevator, but the building looks recently remodeled so I’m guessing there is accessible access.
Inside the venue was awesome. Great bar, with good selection of beers. The drinks aren’t very alcoholic and they were small, but there was no limit. Expensive drinks, above $10 average. People at the concert were pretty drunk, but event workers did a good job keeping order. If you’re seeing a band you’re not familiar with, it’s a comfortable venue for that. If you’re seeing a band you love (like we were), then this is the intimate concert venue of your dreams. Great place to see a show.
The bathrooms were great. Clean, well lit, and roomy. Overall, I would recommend attending a concert there, but plan ahead.
Best sound in Portland, hand's down.
Balcony and floor (standing for most events)
Incredible bones in this former high school. Nice cafe and bar for pre or post show.
Find an artist you like and then see them where acoustics matter.
This venue is crucial to go to see a show at. Saw Knower there tonight and damn! The sound was amazing. Lots of seating in the balcony and room to dance below. Multiple bars in the building you can purchase food and drinks from, and are allowed to take them into the hall. Staff were helpful and kind. Rooftop view is stunning. Go see a show there!
